✨ Full circle moment! ✨
My journey as a social entrepreneur began at Stanford University. As a graduate student, I took the class “Leading Social Change” with the incredible Kim Smith and Debra Meyerson, where I was first introduced to the concept of social entrepreneurship. That moment changed my trajectory and paved the way for the launch of Beyond 12.
Today, I’m humbled and thrilled to return to Stanford as a 2025 Mimi and Peter E. Haas Distinguished Visitor!
I’m looking forward to engaging with students, faculty, staff, and community leaders to explore one of the most pressing questions of our time: How can emerging technologies like AI be harnessed to uplift and empower the most vulnerable among us? This is a conversation we must have as a community.
I’m also excited to collaborate with and learn from my fellow Distinguished Visitors—Jaime-Alexis Fowler, Josh Nesbit, and Amanda Renteria—leaders who bring extraordinary insight, heart, and talent to this critical dialogue.
And, I’m especially honored to co-teach “Challenging the Status Quo: Social Entrepreneurs, Democracy, Development, and Justice” alongside the phenomenal Kathleen Kelly Janus, whose work continues to inspire so many.
A HUGE thanks to Kathleen and the Haas Center For Public Service team for this opportunity.
In Community,
