NEW YORK, December 13, 2023 — Beyond 12 CEO Alexandra Bernadotte today will present a vision of how generative AI can be put to work to advance the success of first-generation college students at the Salesforce World Tour NYC. The presentation follows on the prestigious selection of Beyond 12 as one of six participants in the Salesforce Accelerator – AI for Impact, a philanthropic initiative that aims to help purpose-driven organizations gain equitable access to trusted generative AI technologies. 

Beyond 12 aims to use this accelerator opportunity to open new opportunities for thousands of students, by automating the creation of tailored content sourced from more than 4,000 college websites. Beyond 12 has helped more than 150,000 students from under-resourced communities graduate from college and pursue choice-filled lives. This opportunity can help supercharge their already impressive outcomes. 

“For us, AI is not about building cool new tools or tapping into the latest buzzword but about implementing a vision for how human lives can be more secure, joyful, productive, and fulfilling,” Bernadotte said. “Beyond 12 exists because we know that a postsecondary degree can be the difference between struggle and security, and we’re excited to work with the team at Salesforce and the volunteers who have lent their time and talent to advance our work.”

Salesforce reported that almost 75% of nonprofits say a digital transformation is a “must have” but lack the capacity and resources to fully invest in emerging technologies like generative AI. The accelerator will provide resources, technology, mentorship, and $2 million in funding to help propel the 6 organizations toward AI solutions that maximize their social impact.
