COVID-19 Response

The closing of college campuses across the country and the move to digital learning has the potential to derail the educational journeys of millions of college students, particularly students who are from low-income communities or the first in their families to attend college. We are committed to ensuring that this does not happen.

To respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are expanding our virtual coaching services to support an additional 20,000+ students; creating a COVID-19 Student Resource Guide; and launching a COVID-19 Student Relief Fund to provide micro-grants to students who are experiencing unexpected financial challenges.

Virtual College Coaches

Vital coaching. For critical times.

Our knowledgeable, inspirational coaches have helped college students be more effective in the classroom and beyond for nearly a decade. Our coaches are currently working with thousands of students across the country. We are creating a COVID-19 Coaching Corps to expand our virtual coaching services to reach even more college students from our partner organizations. Our goal is to support 20,000 additional students this year.

Student Resource Guide

Crucial resources. For critical times.

We are actively researching resources and tools to help our students and partners make sense of all of the information they are receiving about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Student Relief Fund

Essential funds. For critical times.

We have created a COVID-19 emergency Student Relief Fund to disburse one-time, micro-grants to help with the unexpected financial challenges that our students are facing as a result of the abrupt shift to remote learning and campus closures. Our Relief Fund is helping students meet their urgent needs, from food and housing to supplies and technology equipment. The fund is available to students from our partner organizations who are currently working with a Beyond 12 coach. Please contact your coach if you need our support.

All funds for the Student Relief Grant have been expended at this time. If additional funds become available, your College Coach will share this information with you.
